Los Angeles residents are spending an average of $1,200 a month on rent and utility bills, according to a recent survey.
The average homeowner spends an average $1.10 on gas and $1 per month on electricity, according the study by RealtyTrac.
That’s a $1 increase of more than $5 per month for an average Los Angeles family.
Los Angeles renters are paying $2,300 more per month than homeowners.
But many are finding they’re not getting enough money to pay for the essentials, according, Realtytrac.
In San Fernando Valley, where there are more residents, the average monthly household income is $57,800, but rents are $1 less than homeowners in the area.
